Summer series takes to the roads this month

Mayo AC have announced the details of the eighth installment of the Vodafone Mayo AC 5K Summer Series which will get under way in just over a fortnights time in Foxford. The five race ‘no frills’ series is open to all local athletic clubs and fitness groups are very welcome. The courses are AAI measured/permitted, well marshalled with finish line time clock and chip timing. All races will start at 8pm on Tuesday evenings.

The first leg of the series will take place on Tuesday, May 23 in Foxford Leisure Club for more information on this one call Ambrose on (086 ) 2558383. The second race will start in Ballyhaunis Rugby Club on Tuesday, May 30 and for details on this one call Martin on (087 ) 2455989. The third leg of the series takes place on Tuesday, June 6 in Castlebar, starting at the De Le Salle Hall and for more information on this leg call Ann on (086 ) 8635534. The penultimate race takes place at Claremorris Athletic Club track, get in touch with John on (087 ) 9099910. This year Mayo AC are introducing a Star Prize of a weekend away in the Alcock & Brown Hotel in Clifden. Each time someone completes a race in the series they are entered in the draw, so if you complete the full series you will be entered into the draw five times, so you've a better chance of winning this great prize.
