Bank holiday weekend brings big numbers to the greens

Ballina

In last weekend's 18-hole stableford competition Sean Walsh took home the win with a score of 67nett, second place went to Tom Mulhaire who finished on 66nett, with Henry Bourke coming home in third place.

Castlebar

Fintan Phelan took first place in last weekend's competition in Castlebar with a brilliant score of 40pts, Paddy Burke took the category one competition with a score of 33pts, Pat Ryan was the category two winner on 40pts, and Pat Morley took the category three win with a score of 34pts. In the ladies' competition Kate Kilalea was the winner with a score of 36pts, Mary Lawlor came home in second one point further back, with Margret Naugton taking third pace and Rose McNulty fourth.

Claremorris

The winner of last weekend's gents' club competition was Tommy Hynes who scored 73pts, second place went to David Gannon who finished up with a score of 69pts. The ladies' competition was won by Rita Grealish who scored 34pts and Pat Dillon was the winner of the nine hole competition.

Swinford

Pat Marren was the winner of the Robert McCallion Cup with a score of 40pts, Sean O'Hara finished in second place one point further back, with third spot going to Gerry Roynane. The ladies' competition was won by Annie McNeela who scored 33pts, Margaret Sweeney finished in second place one point behind the winner.
