Farm Focus - Foxford company forward thinking for the future

Farm Focus is a Transition Year mini-company from St.Joseph's Secondary School, Foxford, Co.Mayo

It was set up by three students Avril Tolan, Charlotte Ruane and Slainé O'Malley in aim to reduce the amount of accidents on the farm and to help raise awareness on how important farm safety is.

Their product is a colouring and storybook specifically designed for children to educate them on the dangers they face on a farm. Each picture in the book is hand drawn and is accompanied by the story of a young boy learning about how to deal with different scenarios on the farm in a safe way.

Recently they attended the North-Mayo Regional Final of the Student Enterprise Programme 2016/17, where they progressed onto the county final, which will be held at the end of March.

The books are available for purchase in local shops surrounding Foxford, such as the Post Office and Pharmacy. They are also available on DoneDeal and through their social media accounts.
