Five more wedding days for Knock Marriage Introductions

The Knock Marriage Introductions service released their latest report on Valentines Day. The service which is Ireland's oldest dating agency has now been in operation for 49 years, and since they began in 1968 they are able to claim a hand in 935 marriages. Their report for last year showed that there were five marriages and four engagements involving couples who used their service.

The service informs those who are interested that, "No definite promise can be made that all those who apply to us will find a life partner; but all who register can be sure that every effort will be made to help them. All applications are treated in strictest confidence. No addresses are divulged by this office to either person concerned in an introduction and all correspondence is forwarded by post in plain sealed envelopes."

For those who are interested in applying they will need to return two questionnaires and two full length postcard size photographs taken within the last twelve months. Passport size photographs will not be accepted. A payment of €170 must accompany all applications. This entitles an applicant to one year’s membership which allows them to receive a number of introductions if necessary. If a suitable introduction has not been made within a twelve month period a candidate can reapply but must renew their subscription of €170. Should someone withdraw their application, all photographs and questionnaires are returned to the applicant or destroyed. All suggested introductions are made by telephone and photographs are not sent to any applicant.
