Day retreat at Knock Shrine

As part of the ongoing Faith Renewal series at Knock Shrine, renowned singer, musician, and spiritual director Deirdre Ní Chinnéide will facilitate the Living in Hope day retreat in the shrine this Saturday from 10am to 3pm.

“The retreat acknowledges that at some time in our lives we experience darkness and even despair,” Ms Ní Chinnéide said. “Living in Hope will offer some quiet time-out to experience God’s presence and allow the light of his presence to shine a light in the darkness and lead us to new hope. It is a perfect time of year to have this type of event and I am looking forward to returning to Knock for the day.”

Deirdre Ní Chinnéide is a trained psychotherapist, spiritual director, and workshop facilitator and has worked all over Ireland, the USA, and Europe, including Bosnia and Kosovo, offering retreats, workshops, and performances of spiritual music. She is a member of the prayer guidance team at Knock which offers prayer sessions and spiritual direction for visiting pilgrims and the local community.

Faith Renewal at Knock also looks at practical things that affect us in our everyday lives. With this in mind, a digital detox day retreat will take place on Saturday December 3 from 10am to 4pm. This will focus on encouraging people to take time away from technology which now pervades every aspect of our lives. This day is expected to attract a huge amount of interest.

Both retreats will take place in the Prayer Guidance Centre, Knock Shrine. Fee is €30 which includes lunch at Knock House Hotel.

Those interested in attending can book by contacting the Faith Renewal team at Knock Shrine on (094 ) 93 75355 or email [email protected]. Further information is also available at www.knockshrine.ie/faithrenewal
