Ballinrobe’s Alan Murphy has a hit on his hands with debut book Beyond The Spotlight. The tell-all book, which lifts the lid on the showbiz world, has shot into Amazon’s Top 10 Best Sellers List alongside other celebrity books by the likes of Katie Price, Rylan Clark-Neal, and Cheryl Cole. Featuring exclusive interviews with everyone from Louis Walsh and Rory ‘Panti’ O’Neill to Charlize Theron and Peter Andre, Beyond The Spotlight documents Alan’s career in showbiz which has seen him meet some of Hollywood’s biggest stars over the last decade.
The Galway Bay FM presenter is ecstatic with the success of his first book and told us, “The reaction to Beyond The Spotlight has just been mindblowing for me. I’m so humbled by all the support from everyone and it has been a time in my life that I’ll never, ever forget.”
The book is also gathering momentum Stateside as Alan has now signed up with Enchanted Book Promotions in the US for a month-long book blog tour, which will see bloggers all over America feature Beyond The Spotlight on their websites. And after Christmas, he’s set to begin work on his second book with his Athenry-based publishing house Book Hub.
