Opel Ireland has launched a special ‘Trade-In Booster’ which could see motorists increase the value of their trade-in by over €2,000.
The effects of the recession have seen trade-in values of cars plummet in recent months, with many dealers even refusing to accept trade-ins. In reaction to this, Opel dealers are not only accepting your trade-in, but offering a ‘booster’ of up to €2,250 on trade-ins against new Opel passenger car models.
Commenting on Opel’s ‘Booster Trade-In’ offer, Gillian Whittall, Marketing and PR Manager with Opel Ireland said: “We understand the frustrations of motorists who are experiencing a decrease in value of their trade-in. Even if their cars are in great condition, with low mileage, the over-supply in the car market is effectively reducing the value. Rather than offer a “cash-back” type deal, where motorists still have to come up with the full cost in order to upgrade their car to a new one, we are simply increasing the value of their trade-in. This reduces the cost of upgrading, keeps the money in the hands of the motorist, and puts them in a better position to be able to afford a new Opel.
“Opel dealers are accepting trade-ins, whereas many dealers around the country aren’t. We believe this offer gives motorists a genuine opportunity to trade up to a new Opel,” Gillian Whittall concluded.
Opel’s ‘Booster Trade-In’ offer is available until the end of February 2009 against selected new Opel passenger car models. Examples of ‘Booster Trade-Ins’:
€1,250 extra trade-in value against a new Corsa 5-door
€1,500 extra trade-in value against a new Corsa 3-door
€1,500 extra trade-in value against a new Astra 3-door
€2,250 extra trade-in value against a new Astra 5-door
€2,250 extra trade-in value against a new Zafira 7-seater MPV.
