Last Saturday night two players on the Winning Streak TV game show brought home €65,000 in prizes between them. Mary O’Donnell from Castlebar won €30,000 including a holiday to Dubai, and Esther Scahill from Kiltimagh won €35,000.
Caroline Geraghty played the game on behalf of her mother Mary O’Donnell, she travelled home from Western Australia where she has lived in Joondalup, north of Perth city for four years with her husband Richard and three children, Christopher, 11, Matthew, nine and Ethan, six to play Winning Streak. Mary McDonnell is originally from Lissycasey in Clare but settled in Castlebar, with her husband Ron, in the 1970s. She has four children, two girls and two boys, and seven grandchildren — six are in Australia. Her son Raymond also lives in Perth with his wife Teresa and their children, Eoin, Ciara, and Saoirse. Mary enjoys GAA season, watching Clare and Mayo. She also likes to set dance and play bingo. Mary and husband Ron were in the Winning Streak audience along with their extended family.

Esther Scahill from Kiltimagh won €35,000 on last Saturday's National Lottery Winning Streak game show on RTE. Esther Scahill lives in Kiltimagh, Mayo, where she was born. She celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary with husband Tom this year; they met at a dance in 2002. She is a lab assistant at Baxter Healthcare in Castlebar. Esther is the youngest of six children; she has three brothers and two sisters. In her spare time she enjoys walking her two rough collie dogs, Casper and Sammy. She enjoys travelling around Ireland with husband Tom in their motorhome. Esther plans to go on holiday to Las Vegas with her Winning Streak winnings.
