Full time and night time courses available at Westport College of Further Education

Westport College of Further Education are pleased to announce the autumn night class schedule for 2016. This year they are offering Level 5 FETAC/QQI accredited courses in Agricultural Mechanics, Graphic Design, Boom Sprayer Pesticide Application (Evenings or Saturdays ), Digital Photography, Beekeeping, Nutrition, Barbering and level six Web Design. 

They have also certification on offer in Reflexology certified by ITEC. Hobby courses include Arc Welding for beginners, Gas and MIG Welding, Computers for beginners, Life Drawing, Holistic Herbs, Costal Navigation, Wine Appreciation, Beginners French and Cake Decorating.  All courses start on the week commencing Monday, October 3. They are taking applications online in advance of the enrollment night and this can be done on www.westportcfe.ie under night classes.

Further details can be found on all courses by telephoning the College at (098 ) 50800. Westport College of Further Education is enrolling for full time and night courses for September. If you wish to secure a PLC place for the forthcoming academic year then do not delay in applying as courses are filling fast with a number of courses already full. All courses are held in purpose-built rooms including a Photography Lab with dark room and Apple Macs, Garage, Hair Salon, Large Polytunnel, Garden Compound, Engineering Room and Beauty Salon.  

In addition to their custom rooms we are very well equipped from an IT point of view with data projectors in each room and eLearning software for each class group to allow you to access your notes from home. They have also recently installed a WIFI system to allow students to work on their own devices in the college. All students in 2016 will receive 5 free copies of Office 2016.

The college has an active Students Union in the College with weekly soccer training. Successful graduates can apply via the CAO with up to 400 points attainable from FETAC Level 5 and 6 courses.
