Seamus O’Rourke brings Danger Money to The Linenhall

Actor/director, Seamus O’Rourke, is back with Big Guerilla Productions’ latest hit play, Danger Money, set to show at the Linenhall Arts Centre on Thursday, September 22, at 8pm.

For his latest one-man play, Seamus teams up with Cavan writer John McManus for a beautiful close-up of rural Irish life, full of heartache and humour. London was only ever meant to be a stepping stone for Teddy ‘The Mucker’ Tucker, but somehow he stayed there for more than 30 years, until one day he abruptly abandons his friends and his job and returns home to North Leitrim. Now he must come to terms with his bewildering new-found situation.

O’Rourke continues to bring fresh rural Irish stories and characters to the audiences of Ireland with a combination of imagination, pathos and humour. The play is written by two-time RTE PJ O’Connor Award-winner, John McManus, whose play The Quare Land won him the Best Playwright Award in New York at the Irish Repertory Theatre in 2015 as part of the Origin First Irish Festival, and completed the New Playwrights Programme at the Abbey Theatre in 2014.

Danger Money is at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Thursday, September 22, from 8pm. Booking is advised. Call (094 ) 9023733 or book online at www.thelinenhall.com
