Mayo County Council Arts Office has announced the deadline for the Amateur Drama Award, Music Recording Assistance Awards, Tyrone Guthrie Regional Bursary Scheme, and an inaugural Film Mayo Tyrone Guthrie bursary. The closing date for all the above awards and bursaries is Monday October 3.
Mayo County Council Amateur Drama Award
The award is €1,000 and is assessed by an independent expert selection board appointed by Mayo County Council, on the following criteria: innovation; development of excellence; quality and creativity which improve the amateur drama sector in an area. All amateur drama groups based in the county are eligible to apply for the award.
Mayo County Council Music Recording Assistance Grant
The award was established to support the recording of original music across all genres by musicians/singers/songwriters resident in Mayo. An independent panel of music industry professionals appointed by Mayo County Council make two awards of up to €800.
Tyrone Guthrie Regional Bursary
Mayo County Council is offering two bursaries to artists born or living in Mayo, to enable them to spend two weeks at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig in Monaghan. Applicants should show significant achievement in their chosen field or demonstrate a high degree of promise.
Film Mayo Tyrone Guthrie Bursary
Mayo County Council is offering its inaugural bursary to filmmakers born or living in Mayo, to enable them to spend two weeks at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, County Monaghan. Applicants should show significant achievement in their field or demonstrate a high degree of promise.
