The Bonamh Market and Heritage Day that had been planned to take place this coming Saturday has been cancelled as a mark of respect to the well known Moran family, from Rush Street, Castlebar, following the the death of Ann Moran who died peacefully on Monday. Ann together with her husband John ran the well known Paddy Moran's pub on Rush Street.
Ann Moran, a well known and respected businesswoman in the town, died in St Vincent's Hospital Dublin after a short illness. She is survived by her husband John and sons Jonathan and Michael. Ann, nee McGreal, came from the well known McGreal family from Fisher Hill House in Breaffy. She was laid to rest in the Castlebar new cemetery following her funeral Mass in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, yesterday (Thursday ).
