JCI Mayo is looking for Friendly Businesses

Ireland is famous all over the world for its one hundred thousand welcomes (céad míle fáilte ) and now JCI Mayo is on the hunt for Mayo’s Friendliest Business. Do you know a business that makes you smile every time you use its service? If you do, don’t keep it a secret, nominate it for the JCI Mayo Friendly Business Awards Competition. We all need to support local businesses to ensure they have a future.

The JCI Mayo Friendly Business Awards seeks to recognise the important role played by small businesses in the continuous development and improvement of our economy and local communities. The competition aims to award businesses that go the extra mile and provide an outstanding service to their customers and their community at large. It is particularly important in this economic environment to highlight businesses that don't allow their standards to slip and continue to provide quality services.

Karen Mc Crann, president of JCI Mayo says: “The JCI Friendly Business Awards are about recoginising local businesses which strive every day to make an extra effort to be friendly to their customers”. Deborah Mc Andrew, JCI Mayo business officer says: “The growth of the economy is being driven by the owners of small businesses and we in JCI Mayo feel that they deserve recognition for their hard work.”

The Friendliest Business in Mayo will be judged on the following criteria: customer care, social friendliness, disability access, digital experience, eco-friendliness, and shop layout and design. These six categories are the foundations of a business that has the customer at the centre of their business. The closing date for nominations is July 15. More information about the project can be found at www.jcimayo.ie or on Facebook. To nominate a business visit www.jciireland.ie/friendly-business-nominations and complete the form with the details of the business and why you think it should be crowned as JCI Ireland’s Friendly Business for 2015.
