A Ballina pensioner who has been charged with unlawful killing and committing arson was remanded on bail following his appearance at Ballina District Court on Tuesday.
John Vincent Sweeney, who is now residing in rented accommodation at 15 Circular Road, Ballina, was remanded on a cash bail of €500 by Judge Mary Devins until Ballina District Court sitting on March 10 on the condition that the man, who is in his 60s, does not apply for a passport, which he has never possessed.
