McHugh’s of Ballindine celebrates tenth birthday with local teams and families

McHugh’s of Ballindine celebrated its 10th birthday recently with local families and members of sports teams sponsored by Seamus Gallagher and Danny McHugh, owners of the motor services site.

Actor Ryan Andrews, who plays Sean Cassidy in Fair City, also enjoyed the celebrations alongside Pat McDonagh, managing director of Supermac’s, Bobby Kerr, chairman of Insomnia Coffee Company, and John Clohisey of BWG Spar.

McHugh’s of Ballindine support community initiatives and organisations including Garrymore, Davitts, Hollymount/Carramore, Mount St Michael's, St Coleman’s, and Ballindine Tidy Towns.

Families and guests of all ages were treated to a full-line up of entertainment on the day, including face painting and custom pizza making with the Papa John’s pizza make and bake team.

Speaking at the birthday celebrations, Danny McHugh said: “We were thrilled to have an opportunity to put on a day of family entertainment for our loyal customers. The business has been made feel part of the town by members of the community since the doors opened 10 years ago. Both we and our team are very pleased to have this occasion to thank the local community and wish to continue working for the positive growth of Ballindine into the future.”

There are now more than 60 staff employed by McHugh’s with some serving the local community for the past 10 years. They serve more than half a million customers each year and are widely known as the motor stop where customers are always greeted by friendly and efficient staff. The motor services station and family restaurant has a dedicated space to cater for parties, school tours, and teams.
