Get to know your fellow businesswomen at Networking with a Twist in the Plaza

Network Mayo has launched its 2016 calendar of events which continues with a fun, getting to know each other, Networking with a Twist event in the Plaza Hotel, Westport, on Tuesday April 26. Anne Conlon of All About Sales will facilitate the night. Ms Conlon is an experienced sales trainer having worked specifically in this area for 25 years. She will kick off this April event with a short presentation on building confidence.

“Confidence is key to success. Whether it’s in your personal life, career or in relationship building, increased levels of confidence will help you to network better,” explains Anne Conlon. “We all want to belong, but if we feel unwanted, excluded and undervalued, we will lack confidence. Confidence is the fruit of self-esteem which, in turn, depends on self-belief, self-love and self-value. Without the foundation of these three elements, you will lack self-confidence. With self-confidence, you will live or work to the best of your ability and your potential. Confidence can move mountains. So how do you build yours?”

That is the question that will be tackled by Anne Conlon at this quirky and fun night. Her presentation will be followed by ‘Networking with a Twist’. The event is open to members and non-members and further details can be obtained from www.networkireland.ie/mayo Anyone who joins Network Mayo before May 15 will enjoy a 10 per cent discount. This discount also applies to customers of AIB, national partners of Network Ireland.

Network Mayo’s newly elected president, Anne McNicholas of Beverly Hills Boutique, Castlebar, is excited to adopt the national theme of ‘Fuelling Ambition’ as her theme for 2016. “It is great to see so many young, ambitious, professional women emerging in Mayo and Network Mayo is a great outlet for those women to meet like-minded professionals whilst training, networking, and having fun," she said. "The last couple of years in particular, we’ve seen a lot of new members of all ages both joining the organisation and getting involved at committee level and we feel our calendar for this year has something for everyone, at every level.”

Events are held once a month with the highlight of the calendar being the Network Mayo Women in Business Awards which will be held in June. Members can nominate themselves or other members, and this event gives great recognition to participants and a chance to progress to the Network Ireland National Awards being held in Cork in September.
