Last week Claremorris Commnuity Radio held a graduation ceremony for its most recently completed media skills course. This particular course was open to anyone over the age of 55 and was funded by the Community Forum of Ireland, under the auspices of CRAOL, the Community Radio Forum.
Ten members of the community took part in the course, which was held in the station on Wednesdays during the months of October, November, and December. The students received their FETAC/QQI Level 3 certificates at a function in the Dalton Inn on Wednesday March 30.
The certs were presented by the chairperson of Claremorris Community Radio, Johnny Kirrane. The students who completed the course were Pete Allgood, Peggy Butler, Marty Flannery, Catherine Halligan, Bernard Joyce, Pat Keane, Mary Malin, Willie McHugh, Anthony McNicholas, and Anni Wilton-Jones.
