The Taoiseach Enda Kenny this week has said that the construction on the new Sacred Heart Hospital in Castlebar should get under way in the next few months following the completion of the tender process.
Speaking this week he said: "The tenders for the construction of the new Sacred Heart Hospital have now been received and approved by the Department of Health. This is another important milestone in the construction of the new Sacred Heart Hospital in Castlebar to replace the old unit. A letter of intent will be issued to the preferred bidder this week and I expect work to commence on site in late May or early June."
