The Pontoon Bridge Hotel is located on the main Castlebar to Ballina road (R310 ), on the shores of Lough Conn and Lough Cullen, approximately 6km west of Foxford. The hotel occupies a dramatic and tranquil setting located in a popular tourist location of north Mayo. The hotel's nearby town Foxford is situated on the banks of the River Moy, nestled between the Ox and Nephin mountains and is an established fishing and tourist destination.
The hotel, originally built in the 1940s, has been extended and modernised over the years to provide 58 en suite bedrooms, function room, restaurant, bar and lounge, spa and treatment centre. Internally the hotel is finished to a good standard. A new reception and 28 bedrooms were added to the original hotel in 2006, lift access is available to all 58 bedrooms.
