Following the initial Public consultation and information gathering event, more detailed surveys and modelling of the River Deel and Crossmolina area have been completed and a Constraints Study identifying key environmental issues has been prepared. This information was subsequently used to identify and analyse a number of flood relief options as part of the proposed scheme and two options are now under consideration.
A public consultation event will be held at Crossmolina Town Hall on Friday, April 8 from 2pm to 7pm, at which draft details of both options will be on display. Members of the OPW and project team will be present to provide information and assistance at the event. Members of the public are strongly encouraged to attend, discuss and comment on the scheme, as feedback and information from this event will be used in the finalisation of the design.
