Mayo student band to play some of Ireland largest venues

A band of Mayo students will play some of Ireland’s largest and most prestigious venues this month.

Everyday Solutions (EDS ) is made up of five Mayo men who formed a band while at secondary school in Swinford and have continued since finishing their Leaving Cert.

The band first gigged across the west of Ireland, headlining Enniscrone Festival, as well as playing support to The Academic, a currently very popular Irish band. EDS also played to more than 2,000 in Castlebar. The band have also featured on Today FM and RTE TV.

EDS have enjoyed runaway success in recent months. The band sold out two headline shows before Christmas in Dublin and in Mayo, and have continued to gig across the country since, supporting Louis Walsh’s band HomeTown. The tours have followed the huge success EDS enjoyed in Vicar Street, playing to 1,500 in August. The band completed big touring dates with HomeTown, the very successful group managed by Louis Walsh and the singers of the hit "Where I Belong".

EDS will play Belfast’s Ulster Hall on March 15, Cork Opera House on March 18, and the Olympia Theatre Dublin on March 19, supporting renowned singer Shane Filan. The band will also play their own headline show at the Grand Social in Dublin on March 20, with tickets on sale now for the gig.

Tickets for the 6pm all ages show at the Grand Social on Sunday March 20 are on sale via Ticketmaster for €14. You can find more information about EDS and all its upcoming gigs on its Facebook and Twitter pages.
