Former Mayo manager James Horan and renowned sports training destination Breaffy House Resort are collaborating on a unique and exciting sports conference which will bring top national and international sporting experts together to share knowledge and techniques. The conference will take place on the weekend of March 11, 12 and 13.
The two-day conference will include various lectures from leading sporting professionals across multiple codes which will provide delegates with a unique insight into high performance. It will open fresh possibilities, allowing coaches, players and people interested in sport to further explore new learnings and opportunities. Along with the lectures the conference will facilitate numerous workshops and practical demonstrations that will support ongoing learning and development.
The comprehensive program will allow a wealth of expertise from across Ireland and abroad to share key knowledge and experience. Key areas include: coaching fundamentals, high performance culture, skills development and coaching, key areas of preparation - mind and body, performance analysis in sport and tactical trends in sport. Speakers will include former World Cycling champion Martyn Irvine, Olympic silver medalist in boxing Kenny Egan and former international athlete David Gillick amongst a host of other well known sports people such as Brian Kerr, Kenny Cunningham, Nial Moyna and Deirdre Lyons from all over Ireland from the worlds of GAA, rugby and soccer to name a few.
