Plans are under way for a major charity event to be held on the Mall, Castlebar on Saturday August 30. Activities on the day will include bungee jumping, craft and food stalls, bouncy castle and live music. All monies raised from the event will go to Rock Rose House Cancer Support Services in Castlebar.
Community Festival committee member Noel Campbell explained: “Féile on the Mall has received support from our local authorities, Mayo Civil Defence. Mayo Intercultural Action and the Castlebar Tidy Towns Committee but we are always looking for more groups to get involved and for sponsorship to help this charity event.”
Castlebar Community Festival hope that this will become an annual event and therefore we are asking groups to get involved and for individuals and local businesses to pledge their financial support to what will be a very worthwhile occasion.
