Mayo Volunteer Centre works to promote and support volunteering in Mayo. Current volunteering opportunities

Weekend break assistant – Clan Beo

Support a person with a disability and their family to participate and have fun at a weekend-long Adventure Break in Cavan in April.

Befriender for a person with disabilities in Ballyhaunis area – Western Care

Help a person with an intellectual disability to take part in social activities, go for a walk etc. Ballyhaunis and various other areas around Co Mayo

Befrienders - Aras Attracta, Swinford

Assist people with a disability to make friendship connections in the community, overcome barriers and promote social inclusion. Training and ongoing support provided to all volunteers.

Helpline volunteers – ISPCC

Listen and support children and young people via phone, web and text – one four-hour shift per week. Training provided.

Parade volunteer – St Patrick’s Day Parade, Castlebar

Help with traffic management and stewarding at the St Patrick’s Day parade in Castlebar on Sunday March 20.
