Small changes to Corrib route pipeline

The proposed onshore Corrib pipeline will be forwarded to the relevant authorities in the near future, after some minor changes were made to the route of the pipeline to avoid some areas of special conservation.

RPS withdrew its original planning application from An Bord Pleanála in December while it carried out some minor revisions on the planning of the pipeline so it would avoid the areas such as bog pools in the Rossport commonage area.

RPS also confirmed that the new application will see a wider route corridor in certain areas, but that the pipeline would still be at least 140m from any dwelling and it will remain largely unchanged from the previous one.
