Castlebar structural design company SDS Ltd, won the prestigious LAMA (Local Authority Members’ Association ) award for Best Architect at the Zurich sponsored awards.
SDS was nominated for the award by Councillor Cyril Burke for its design of the new childcare facility in Ballyglass, Claremorris, that will cater for up to 70 children when complete and has capacity for 44 pre-schoolers and 26 after-schoolers on the site to the rear of the existing Mount Pleasant National School.
Host for the event was Miriam O’Callaghan of RTÉ and guest of honour was Minister of State Michael Kitt TD, Department of Environment, Heritage, and Local Government.
