The AGM of Ballinrobe Community Development Council will take place on Wednesday February 18 at 8pm in Crannmór, and the entire community is invited to attend.
In the past year the CDC has established five sub-committees — business and retail, tourism, infrastructure and development, community, and finance — for the purpose of working on specific projects and areas of development in the town. These have been successful so far, but more members are needed to strengthen them further for the coming year.
Through the main committee and the sub-committees, up to 70 people have been involved with the CDC in the past year, seeking to improve life in Ballinrobe for the benefit of the entire community.
In these challenging times it is more important than ever that the community pulls together and speaks with a united voice, so that Ballinrobe will not be left behind in terms of funding for projects and so that it will not slip further down the list in relation to key infrastructural projects such as the N84 bypass.
You can help ensure this does not happen by becoming involved in the CDC. The first step in that involvement is attendance at the AGM on February 18. For further information contact Denise Horan on 087 418 3413.
