One of Ireland’s foremost and most prolific poets, Paul Durcan, returns to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar for one of his legendary readings on Thursday December 3 at 8pm.
Surreal, idiosyncratic, iconoclastic, and full of quirky roguishness, Durcan has carved out a distinctive status that straddles critical acclaim and popularity, a rare achievement in the world of poetry. For this event which takes place on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Durcan has worked with Irish Sign Language interpreter Mairéad Hegarty to develop Irish Sign Language interpretations of selected poems from his most recent collection The Days of Surprise.
Paul Durcan performs at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Thursday December 3 at 8pm. Booking for this performance is advised. You can book by calling (094 ) 9023733 or online at www.thelinenhall.com
