Mayo based company Team Horizon is celebrating success following the Connacht final of the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards. The awards, which took place last month at The Meyrick Hotel, Galway, saw seven other Connacht businesses selected as winners. The eight winners will now progress to the national final in December to compete with winners from Munster, Leinster, and Ulster.
A total of 676 companies entered this year’s awards – including 72 Connacht businesses. Team Horizon was the winner of the Connacht Small Business Award. Team Horizon is a specialist engineering company established in Mayo in July 2010, offering solutions to manufacturing organisations primarily in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. The business has grown from six employees to 55 on the strength of its unique selling points, depth of manufacturing knowledge, and blend of experience across the team. Horizon is now providing services to a large number of life science companies in Ireland and has commenced business in Europe and USA.
Commenting on its success at the award ceremony, Robert Grealis of Team Horizon said: “We are delighted to win this award and to be on our way to the national final. This success is a reflection of the talent and dedication of our team, and being recognised for our hard work is a great boost.”
