Renua Ireland Mayo will be discussing its recent pre-budget submission at a public information meeting which will be held at The Twin Trees Hotel, Ballina, at 7.30pm on Tuesday October 20. The principal speaker will be Billy Timmins, TD for Wicklow-East Carlow and Deputy Leader of Renua Ireland.
The topics for discussion will be the introduction of a flat rate tax which at a rate of 23 per cent (take home 77 per cent of earnings ), the abolition of motor tax on favour of a fairer and less costly “pay as you go” addition to fuel prices, the abolition of TV licences, rewarding enterprise through such schemes as taxation equality for the self employed, positive tax discrimination in favour of investment in small businesses, and a break for parents with manageable childcare costs.
