More than 200 Londis retailers from every corner of the country, including Mayo, descended on Carton House recently for The 2015 Londis Retailing Excellence Awards.
The Londis Retailing Excellence Awards which have been running for more than 20 years, recognise stores that excel across all areas of store performance. This year, three stores in Mayo received awards: Cunningham's Londis PLUS Ballyhaunis received a gold retailing excellence award, Hanley's Londis Plus in Castlebar was awarded a silver retailing excellence award, and Hiney's Londis in Crossmolina was given a silver retailing excellence award.
Congratulating retailers at the awards ceremony, Conor Hayes, sales director, Londis, said: “The winners of this year’s awards have all exhibited great passion and dedication for best practice retailing putting them amongst the best in the industry. Their focus on continually exceeding customer expectations is a testament to the hard work of their staff, for which they should be very proud. I commend them all on this wonderful achievement.”
The Londis brand recently joined leading retail and wholesale group BWG Foods. Congratulating the award winners Willie O’Byrne, managing director, BWG Foods, said: “We are extremely proud that Londis has joined the BWG Foods retail family. It’s fantastic to see the wealth of outstanding expertise demonstrated by Londis retailers and in particular the very worthy winners of the 2015 Awards."
