Mayo’s Heroes for Hospice group, a voluntary musical group with members hailing from all over Mayo, have announced that they will perform their hugely successful musical production Beyond the Barricade in Dublin on October 28 in Liberty Hall, Eden Quay.
Beyond the Barricade is a Mayo-Roscommon Hospice fundraising production which has raised almost €30,000 to date towards the Mayo-Roscommon Hospice Foundation planned new dedicated hospice in Castlebar. This voluntary initiative is an awe inspiring tale of triumph over adversity featuring an inspirational score of well known musical classics. The huge cast numbering more than 90 men, women, and children will finish their current run with the Dublin show and promise to go out with a bang.
Beyond The Barricade to date has had a total of 10 sold-out nights last December, January, and July, in Ballina Arts Centre and Castlebar's Royal Theatre, and will perform in Manchester in association with the Mayo Manchester Business and Tourism group directly before the Dublin show. The production has being receiving huge acclaim and the upcoming shows in October will provide fresh opportunities to showcase the amazing talented cast and, raise additional funds for the Mayo-Roscommon Hospice.
