Anne Tobin Beauty College is Mayo's renowned beauty college. Accredited by ITEC this college offers international qualifications to its discerning students. This year the college attained 100 per cent pass rate with many merits and distinctions. The college principal Anne Tobin, after eight years of running the college, has been appointed an assessor in education for ITEC International. The college is now teaching the ITEC level six award in education. This course is suitable for post graduates in hairdressing, nails, sports massage and beauty therapy. There are only six ITEC assessors in the country and Anne Tobin is pleased to add this modern up to date learning programme.
This course replaces the former ITEC diploma in lecturing therapies as it is mapped to the international qualifications framework. The qualified candidates can then go on to teach in their chosen profession. Anne Tobin is the only college in Connacht offering this course. The college is now enrolling for beauty, massage, sports massage, reflexology, make up artistry, and many more. All college tutors hold the ITEC award in teaching. There are also courses in tanning, nail technology, threading, shellac, and advanced waxing.
To assist in training there is an on site salon. The salon also offers a full range of treatments to the public.
