Culture Night 2015 takes place on September 18 and comprises hundreds of free events across Ireland, including almost 100 free cultural events in Mayo. From the nation’s capital to towns and villages across the island, everyone’s getting involved! On the night, arts and cultural organisations across the country open their doors until late with hundreds of free events, tours, talks and performances for you, your family and friends to enjoy!
Last year almost 3,000 people came out to celebrate the night in Mayo and even more are expected to take advantage of this night of cultural adventure and discovery this year. Regardless of where you are in the county there will be a Culture Night event taking place nearby with events planned for Achill, Ballina, Ballinrobe, Ballintubber, Ballycastle, Ballycroy, Belmullet, Ceathrú Thaidhg, Castlebar, Charlestown, Claremorris, Kilkelly, Knock, Laherdane, Lecanvey, Mulranny, Swinford, Tourmakeady, Turlough and Westport.
Imagination and creativity have been plentiful in the excellent programmes that have made past Culture Nights extremely successful, and 2015 will not disappoint. So whether you plan to bring the children, catch up with friends, meet new people, participate, interact or experience the excitement of free entry, live performances, workshops, demonstrations, tours, talks, music, drama, craft and creative events galore all free of charge, Culture Night Mayo will have something for everyone!
