Special Olympics Ireland has launched its 2009 fundraising campaign and is asking the people of Ireland to donate or to engage themselves in fundraising events to support Special Olympics in their own community.
The campaign, supported by eircom, aims to raise €5 million in 2009 to support the existing Special Olympics programme and also to fund the recruitment process of new athletes in every county in Ireland.
A dedicated Special Olympics Ireland fundraising campaign office has been set up to support and co-ordinate the campaign in Mayo. The Ballina office is located at Ballina Street Festival Office, Telling Street, Ballina.
