A man was taken to Mayo General Hospital after he was stabbed a number of times this morning in Ballina. Gardai were called to the a house in Tom Clarke Place in the town at around 4.15am last night.
The man who was stabbed is in his 50s and the scene was sealed off for a forensic examination by Gardai. A man in his 20s was arrested by Gardai in connection with the incident today (Monday, August 17 ).
