Claremorris Chamber launches tourism brochure

Claremorris Chamber of Commerce officially launched its tourism brochure in Ireland West Airport Knock on Monday July 21. The brochure is a source of relevant information on Claremorris and surrounding areas with a map of the town, places to eat and stay, and its amenities.

Claremorris Chamber in conjunction with Marie Creighton and Kay Casby from McMahon Park committee has made this brochure possible and believe that it will help visitors to Claremorris to enjoy and prolong their stay. The reverse side of the brochure has information on hotels, guest houses and tourist attractions in the “Heart of the West”, proving how central Claremorris is to the visitor attractions. At the launch on Monday evening, which was attended by John O’Mahony TD, local councillors Pat McHugh and Tom Connolly, Robert Grealis, CEO, Ireland West Airport, Mons Joseph Quinn and local Claremorris business people, James Kean, president of Claremorris Chamber, thanked Marie Creighton and Kay Casby and Claremorris Chamber CEO Sheila Hunt who played a big part in producing the tourism brochure.

He also gave special thanks to the local OPW office in Claremorris who were instrumental in designing the brochure. The president also thanked Alma Gallagher and Seamus McCormick from Clár IRD in helping provide a dedicated tourist office to Claremorris. Robert Grealis complimented the Claremorris Chamber on their brochure and said he felt that it was a positive contribution to promoting tourism in the region. He also said that it was great to see people promoting the region and that more of this was required going forward. The tourism brochure will be displayed in the tourist office in the Clár IRD offices in Claremorris, local hotels, travel agents and B&Bs and will be sent to tourist attractions in the region. Anyone who would like copies of the document should contact Sheila in the Chamber office on 094 937 7777.
