Special Olympian Martina Walsh from Castlebar has taken a bronze medal for Ireland at the World Games in Los Angeles.
The Castlebar Strikers Bowling Club member won her medal in the doubles event with Ruth Geerah from Mullingar.
Ms Walsh is one of two Mayo athletes on the 88 strong Team Ireland at the Games in LA.
Aoife Beston from Claremorris is competing at the games on the athletics team.
The Special Olympics World Games opened in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday and continues until August 2.
