Bat men (and women) wanted

Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre is hoping to get people in Mayo out and counting bats this summer.

The centre is hosting a Daubenton's bat training course so that participants can then take part in a major annual bat survey that takes place each August to assist in bat conservation work.

The free Bat Conservation Ireland training takes place on Wednesday July 29 at 8pm.

To book a place, contact the visitor centre on (098 ) 49888.
