Get ready to thoroughly ruin those whites. Castlebar is to host one of the most novel and fun charity events out there - a colour run.
The Mayo Colour Run takes place at Lough Lannagh on Sunday July 12 to raise funds for Aware.
The colour run asks participants to wear white for the startline and then proceed around the route to get splattered head to toe in brightly coloured powder paint. Tickets are already in high demand, say organisers.
The rainbow bright race aims to celebrate health, happiness, individuality and community, said a spokesperson.
The Mayo Colour Run is a family friendly event and participants can be any age - just wear white at the start line and finish plastered in colour.
There will also be a BBQ, bouncy castles, face-painting and music at Lough Lannagh on the day.
Tickets are available via the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mayocolourrun or on Eventbrite. For further information call (087 ) 2890533.
