Six people were charged with assault in Swinford District Court, sitting in Ballina this moring arising out of incidents that occured at Áras Attracta care home in Swinford. The six were all staff members in the care home. The assaults are alleged to have taken place on dates between 6 and 17 November 2014.
The case was put back for metion to July 10, by Judge Mary Devins. The six who were charged were Joan Gill, with an address at Dublin Road, Swinford; Pat McLoughlin, of Mayfield, Claremorris; Anna Ywunong Botsimbo of Low Park Avenue, Charlestown, Co Mayo; Joan Walsh, from Carrowilkeen, Curry, Co Sligo; Christina Delaney, with an address at Seefin, Lissatava, Hollymount, Co Mayo and Kathleen King from Knockshanvally, Straide, Foxford, Co Mayo.
