Straide and Foxford Utd v Manulla
Saturday, June 6 at 7.30pm
Venue: Green Road
Manulla will look to close the gap on the top three on Saturday evening when they make the trip to take on a struggling Straide and Foxford United in Green Road. Last weekend the Carramore based side had a catch-up game against Iorras Aointaithe pencilled in, but the contest in Carne Nash was abandoned after 63 minutes due to bad weather conditions. The hosts in their last outing went down 3-2 to Iorras Aontiathe and are still looking for their first league win this season. Manaulla have been impressive so far and they look like a side who'll be going home with the points tomorrow night.
Castlebar Celtic v Charlestown Athletic
Saturday, June 6 at 5pm
Venue: Celtic Park
The hosts have only picked up one win from their four league outings so far this season and a win on Saturday evening is an essential, as they look to get their league season up and running. Last time out they were put to the sword by Westport United at home in the league as the defending champions got some revenge for their cup defeat the previous week. Charlestown Athletic are also coming into the game on the back of a loss in their last league outing, with Ballyheane seeing them off 3-1 a fortnight ago. Both sides could badly do with a win to pull themselves away from the drop zone, but home advantage should count for Celtic
Ballina Town v Iorras Aontaithe
Saturday, June 6 at 7.30pm
Venue: Beleek Park
The league leaders have yet to drop a point from their five games so far in the Super League and on Saturday evening they'll be going all out to make it six from six. Michael McNicholas' men smashed eight past Conn Rangers in their last outing and, while Iorras will be a big step up in class in terms of opposition, they should still take the points. Iorras come into game on a decent run of form and were arguably the side on top in their game last weekend against Manualla, before the weather ended the contest early. They've two wins and two losses recorded against them so far. They'll make it hard for Ballina Town, but could come up just short.
Ballyheane v Conn Rangers
Saturday, June 6 at 5pm
Venue: Quigley Park
Things are moving along very nicely at the moment in Quigley Park with three wins on the bounce (two in the cup and one in the league ) which has seen them get their season up and running nicely. Last Thursday night they saw off Ballyglass 2-1 in the league cup to progress to the semi-final stage. That win came on the back of a league win over Charlestown Athletic the weekend before. Things haven't gone well for Conn Rangers since their return to the Super League this season. They've conceded 20 goals in their five games so far, with Ballina Town smashing eight past them last time out. When these sides met in the league cup three weeks ago Ballyheane were comfortable winners. It doesn't look like it will be much different this weekend.
