An army of Michaels are going marching in Castlebar on July 18 in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Western Care.
The novel charity walk is asking Michaels everywhere, as well as anyone with a variation of the name such as Michaela, Michelle, Mike, Mick, or Miguel, to sign-up for the event called Are You Right There Michael Are you Right.
The event is being organised by popular Castlebar publican Mick Byrne and will take place on the new Castlebar to Turlough greenway.
Mr Byrne said he hopes the walk will be the first step towards staging a world record attempt next year to get the most Micks in one place at one time.
