The award winning Erris Players have a double serving of drama in store for Bangor Erris and Belmullet audiences this Easter.
The group is bringing to stage JM Synge’s tragedy Riders to the Sea and comedy, The Counter Charm by Bernard Duffy, in Bangor Erris Hall on Good Friday, April 3, at 8pm.
The group will also be on stage in Aras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet, on Thursday and Friday, April 9 and 10.
The two one-act plays sit at opposite ends of the drama spectrum, a renowned tragedy in Riders to the Sea and a comedy set in 1915 in The Counter Charm.
Kathleen Doocey, Sean O’Coisdealbha, Seana Markwick-Ward and Deirbhle Healy star in Riders to the Sea.
Kathleen Ruddy and Michael Lynch take to the stage for The Counter Charm.
Tickets cost €10 or €6 with concession and are available in Brogans, Bangor Erris and Belmullet, on the door on the night or from Aras Inis Gluaire on (097 ) 81079
