A Polish man who crashed into another vehicle on the wrong side of the road was convicted for dangerous driving at this week’s sitting of Castlebar District Court.
Andrzey Pacenko, 9 Manor Village, Westport Road, Castlebar, was involved in a two car traffic accident on May 7 last year when his car drove head on into another vehicle on the Pontoon Road.
Pacenko lost concentration while looking for an item in his car. The court was informed that two children who were in the injured party’s car were brought to Mayo General Hospital but were later released.
Pacenko was convicted and fined €500 and disqualified from driving for two years by Judge Mary Devins
