Fans of the popular crime drama, CSI, can find out all about the real life history of forensic science at an upcoming talk in the Museum of Ireland, Country Life, Turlough Park.
Dr John O’Shaughnessy of Forensic Science Ireland will deliver a brief history of forensic science at the museum on Friday next (March 27 ) from 7 to 8pm.
Dr O’Shaughnessy will give an illustrated talk spanning from the inception of forensic science and its difficult early years up to its emergence today as the backbone of criminal investigations.
The talk is free and is for adults only.
The talk is part of the museum’s exhibition called Preserving the Peace, which is marking 200 years of policing on the island of Ireland.
