Ice stars sweeping into town for magical Peter Pan adventure

The Royal Theatre is set to be transformed into a magical world of Neverland, pirates, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, all brought to life on ice next week, by a troupe of world famous skaters.

The Russian Ice Stars are coming to town on Monday March 16 for a week-long run of their adaptation of J M Barrie’s much loved adventure Peter Pan.

The famous fantasy story will be portrayed in a spectacle of theatre and ice skating, with a stage set and equipment that just about fits into two 40-foot trucks.

Setting the stage for the show involves the creation of an eight-centimetre thick ice rink, consisting of 15 kilometres of pipework and 14 tons of ice.

Doors open at 7pm for the show at 8pm nightly, from Monday to Saturday (March 16 to 21 ).

There are also matinee shows on Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22. Doors open at 2pm for the show at 3pm.

Tickets start from €17.50 for children and €27.90 for adults. A family ticket for two adults and two children or three children and one adult costs €75.

Group rates are also available.
