Praise for IWAK success in 2008

Claremorris Chamber has commended Ireland West Airport for its successful year in 2008.

“Considering the challenges that the airport has faced they continue to provide a service that is vital to the people of Mayo, Ireland west, and beyond. We look forward to the opening of their new facilities in 2009, which will further increase the excellent service Ireland West Airport provides. Increasing passenger numbers in the current climate is a testament to the professionalism of management and staff at Ireland West Airport. The management of the airport continue to strive to increase the services they provide and it is encouraging to see new routes like Gatwick and Alicante being announced for 2009. Ireland West Airport is a vital piece of infrastructure to the west of Ireland and we look forward to supporting Ireland West Airport in 2009 for the benefit of our entire region,” a chamber spokesperson said.
