The Megane hatchback and coupe as well as the Laguna Coupe have recently been launched.
The Clio gets a summer facelift after debuting at the Geneva show in March. It draws on the styling cues of the new Megane and Laguna.
Before the end of 2009, we will see an all-new Scenic arrive here. About the same time, the new Grand Scenic will also debut.
Also here before the year-end, we will see the Megane Sport Tourer (estate ) arrive.
Further out, Renault’s sources say they are working on cars above the Laguna, despite the poor sales of the Vel Satis and Avantime luxury coupe. The plan is that new larger Renaults will share parts with Nissan models.
Among those new models is a competitively priced small sports car which would mean reviving the classic Alpine brand.
Finally, Renault has begun planning a range of electric cars, which will include a custom designed small car that’s bigger than a Twingo. It will also add a battery powered version of the Kangoo and a Megane-based saloon. The Megane-based four-door will arrive before 2012. The Kangoo should arrive earlier. Fleets will have both a year earlier.
