Mayo GAA grants

Mayo GAA has announced its Gaeltacht Scholarship Grants scheme for 2009. This year Mayo GAA will once again be providing six Gaeltacht scholarships worth €300 each to attend Coláiste Lír in the Eachléim Gaeltacht of north Mayo during the Easter holidays. The course runs from April 5 to April 17 and the full cost is €525.

Two of the scholarships have already been presented to Vickí Ní Daibhís and Deasún Ó Gabháin for their contribution to the promotion of the Irish language during the recent Mayo GAA Scór na nÓg competitions.

The scholarship scheme is open to all GAA club members in Maigh Eo between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age. Those interested in availing of the scheme must forward their contact details and club name to: Sean Feeney, rúnaí CLG Mhaigh Eo, An Crann Mór, Partry, Claremorris, before February 27 or e-mail: [email protected].
